BIOCHIPS EXPLORER

How we source information

Clear provenance, careful distinctions and a visible record of what we know.

Go to the original source.

Profiles start with official manufacturer specifications and facility pages. We write original summaries, link the evidence and record the access date and the facts each source supports. Published specifications preserve the source units and wording where needed.

Three different kinds of evidence.

  • Source checked means the record has been compared with its cited pages. It is not independent experimental validation.
  • Supplier confirmed requires a separate confirmation from the supplier. Our seed profiles have not been supplier confirmed.
  • Sponsored means there is a paid placement. Any future sponsorship must be clearly labelled and separate from technical comparisons.

Australian access is a separate question.

A supplier’s country is not evidence of Australian availability. We distinguish an Australian provider, a named Australian distributor, confirmed supply to Australia, and availability not confirmed. Global product pages alone do not establish Australian access.

Review before publication.

Initial source research was AI-assisted. That assistance does not establish scientific expertise. The initial five guides and three scenes were published at the owner’s request after an additional AI-assisted check against their cited sources and diagram labels. They are educational overviews, not specialist-validated teaching materials or device designs. Their source-review details and limitations are shown on each page; no specialist-review date has been invented. New guides and scenes stay in draft until their publication review is completed.

Reference tools.

The microfluidics glossary and channel flow calculator are maintained with the site code. Each definition and formula cites the sources it was checked against, with AI assistance, on 14 October 2026; specialist review is not recorded. The calculator gives idealised estimates for a straight rectangular channel. It is not a device design, an operating recommendation or an experimental prediction.

We aim to recheck sources at least every six months. A source-check date describes our last content review, not current stock, price, suitability or compatibility. Missing values stay “Not published”.

Original illustrations.

Our diagrams are original educational schematics. They are not scale drawings, experimental simulations or reproductions of a listed product. We do not reuse product photographs, manufacturer logos or research figures without a documented licence or permission.

Help correct the record.

Use the corrections form to identify a page and provide an official source. Contributions enter a private review queue; they never publish automatically. Content changes are recorded in an editorial revision history.
